I like the case. big fan should keep air moving and keep things cool.
like the 785G chipset, but don't care for ECS motherboard. (ECS is a PCChips brand. Many readers will know what that means.)
Motherboard I would go with = Gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H, AMD 785G HDMI ATX, $90,
The RAM modules you picked are CAS5 timing at 667 MHz --very slow --and overpriced for the low specs.
These are CAS5 timing at 1066 MHz,
(RAM) G.Skill F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK, 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 CAS5, $60 free shipping,
The Radeon 4670 is a very good general purpose video card, and good for occasional gaming, at medium settings. But if you're a serious gamer, you should spend more on the video card --get at least a Radeon 4850, if not a 4870.
Don't make the mistake of thinking a slower video card is "better" because it has 1GB RAM. You'll see, 95% of the time, the faster GPU, with 512MB, beats a slower GPU, with 1GB. Having 1GB of RAM on a video card only becomes an important factor at higher resolutions, like if you have a monitor running a resolution of 1920 x 1200 or 1920 x 1080.)
The OCZ power supply should work well. They use some less expensive components, to keep the price down (like Chinese made capacitors, instead of Japanese), but it's a good design.
I like this new 95W version of the Phenom II X4 945. I think it's worth $30 to add 15% more CPU performance right on top.
(CPU) AMD Phenom II X4 945 (Deneb 3.0 GHz 95W), $170 free shipping,
The "black" version Western Digital 1TB hard drive is a faster, somewhat more advanced design, and has a longer warranty (5 years). It doesn't matter that it draws 3 or 4 watts more --who cares? --or is a bit louder.
(Hard Drive) Western Digital WD1001FALS, Caviar Black 1TB, 7200 RPM, 32MB Cache, $95 free shipping,
So, basically, using my alternatives, you spend $30 more on the CPU, $5 more on the motherboard, $10 more on the hard drive, and $4 more on RAM. (And, if you're a serious gamer, choose a higher end video card.)
But What do i Know???
